Black Diamond Freerider Chalk Bag
The Freerider Chalk Bag is Honnold’s 'signature' chalk bag. The same chalk bag used by Black Diamond Ambassador Alex Honnold on his incredible feat of soloing El Capitan's Freerider (5.12d, equivalent to f7c/+), and the only 'equipment' he took with him on his monumental ascent. On 3rd June 2017, Honnold left all ropes and gear at the bottom of the 3000ft monolith and began climbing at 5:32 am, topping out in 3 hours and 56 minutes. We are sure his achievement won't inspire everyone to go out and free solo at this height or grade but we hope with the Freerider chalk bag you will be inspired to go out and complete your own goals at whatever level.
The bag features Honnold's signature, and a percentage of sales from the Black Diamond Freerider chalk bag goes to the Honnold Foundation, which supports solar energy initiatives around the globe in developing communities to reduce environmental impact and address inequality.
